It used to mean buying a hybrid car meant settling for slow and less-than-interesting to drive. Infiniti's 2012 M35h hybrid changes all that in dramatic fashion, recently setting the Guinness World Record for the world's fastest hybrid. How fast, do you ask? .
.CAR Magazine says the M35h accelerates from 0-62 mpg in 5.5 seconds, reaching a 155-mph top speed. The hybrid raced through the ¼-mile in an officially verified 13.8960 seconds. In the rain.

That time puts the M35h in some pretty fast company. The 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera runs the ¼-mile in 13.6 seconds. The classic 1982 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S is actually slower at 13.9 seconds.
So this is good news for hybrid speed lovers .
